Rotation problem w/2004 sp01
Rotation problem w/2004 sp01
(OP)
I have recently installed SW2004 SP01 and I have a problem rotating my models, with a spaceball 5000, when they are in HLV with the draft quality HLR/HLV button turned off.
Basically SW crashes giving me an "unhandled error". I reloaded the latest drivers for the spaceball and still no luck.
Any suggestions, short of removing my spaceball.
Removing my spaceball would be like cutting off my arm.
Thanks,

1) verify that you have the latest driver for your graphics card.
2) verify that you have the latest driver for your spaceball
If none of those seem to help
trying using software open Gl and see if that makes a diference. To accomplish this, you need to have solidworks open without any documents open. Under TOOLS/OPTIONS/SYSTEM OPTIONS/PERFOMANCE select Use Software OpenGL.
If that DOES work, then that is an indicator that your graphics hardware is sub-par, and not at all the fault of your spaceware...
let me know what you find out.

3DLabs Oxygen GVX420 card hasn't updated drivers for nearly a year. And I've already updated my spaceball drivers.
SolidWorks is set to use OpenGL.
Could just be another bug in the program.

I heard that sp02 might be out in about 2 weeks.

Drawings you can't rotate like you can with a 3D model.
