Program for entering data without the PDMWorks software?

Program for entering data without the PDMWorks software?

Program for entering data without the PDMWorks software?

(OP)
We have PDMWorks in our office but some of the companies that do business with us do not.  I heard there was a program out there that allows a person (without PDMWorks) to enter in all of the required information for a part.  This part could then be easily entered into our vault without having to re-enter all of the data.
Does anyone have any idea what the name of this program is?

Thank you,
Lori

RE: Program for entering data without the PDMWorks software?

Lori,

Being that PDMworks uses Windows Custom Properties as its metadata any program that can directly access the file's custom properties will work..  I am unaware of any that have been written directly for the purpose of preconditioning files for PDMWorks.   but let me check with some developer people that I know and I'll get back with you... I do know of a program called Quick Custom Properties thats out there but its kind of old and there HAS to be some newer ones out there...

let me look around.

Regards,
Jon
