Can you simulate G load cases by manipulating gravity loads?  For example if a unit is experiencing 50Gs and then set the gravity to 50 x 386.4 in/s^2 = 19320 in/s^2, will I get the desired effects of 50Gs on the unit?

Yes - but if you are trying to simulate a shock load, you might want to condsider using Dynamic Shock analysis.

Thank you for your response.  

I do want to simulate a shock load, but I do not have a SRS to plug in.  My thinking is that if the shock is 50g for .002 sec, I can treat this as a static case at full response of shock.  Does this make sense?
