trail files

(OP)
I whant to change trail file but I don't know the description of functions, where can I get to know about them?

RE: trail files

What do you want to change in the trail file?

The purpose of trail files is to allow you to rebuild a model after Pro/E crashes because of an illegal operation. They are not designed to be used to make similar parts to another design that someone just happens to have the trail file saved from.

RE: trail files

Ben Loosli,
general idea in the following: I made a model of pipe and I whant to get .drw file on it automatically with two projection and dimensions on them. The pipe can be any length and must to scale in format.I think it is possible to make it with trail file. May be it's wrong way.
Can you give me advice?
I will be glad to the answer.

RE: trail files

Easiest thing to do is complete the task that you want the trail file for. Then simply open the trail file created to determine what the commands are. There are options in the config file to allow you to step through a trail file one command at a time, and do some other things to make using trail files easier.

RE: trail files

How about using Pro/Program?

RE: trail files

Open the trail file and search for the drawing and part .prt name and change the name to the other pipe part and the name of the drawing you want and part you want to be in the drawing.

All Menu picks in the trail file are preceeded by # which makes it easy to get around and edit your trails.

An easier thing to do would be to record a Mapkey with pauses for picking files.

RE: trail files

Have you tried using a template drawing?
