paddle blade design

(OP)
Dear Friends:

I am designing a paddle for a very special use.
How can I find the area of the blade and the speed to move it related with the force required.
Best Regards
Disenador

RE: paddle blade design

The area of the blade is a simple geometric study.  Measure the moving surfaces that will encounter fluid resistance.  The force required to move the paddle will be the force required to move the mass of the paddle plus the force needed to overcome the fluid resistance.  The speed at which the paddle moves already is related to the fluid resistance and to the force needed to movce the mass of the paddle.  Without any more details of the problem, this is the best I can provide.
