Sheet Metal Reliefs

Sheet Metal Reliefs

Sheet Metal Reliefs

(OP)
I have a simple model of a sheet metal box with a large number (50+) configurations.  The box was modeled in SW 2004, with the new sheet metal features.  When I flatten the part out the corner reliefs are treated differently.  On some configurations all four corners fill properly, on others only three corners fill.  A secondary problem is that the corner does not fill up to the closed corner, but stops .004 short.  I am a little baffeled by this behavior, has anyone encountered the same problems.

RE: Sheet Metal Reliefs

I guess it would vary between the configurations because of the way you have setup the edges flanges, etc...?

Try sending that part to your VAR, because this would be a problem they would need to see. Heck I would need to see the part to give my opinion on it if I was your VAR.

RE: Sheet Metal Reliefs

I would have to say that I too would definately need to see th part in order to make any comments.. too many variables here to speculate... but Scott is right, you should get your VAR involved at this point to get them on the scent if this is indeed a bug.
