Magnetically activated Polymers

Magnetically activated Polymers

(OP)
Some time ago I heard that there is a plastic/Polymer that is reactive to magnetic field. That is the material becomes malleable and soft in presence of magnetic field. Does any one know of this material? I have conducted a search on the web for "magnetic plastic" but I have not found anything. Can any one help?
Thank you

RE: Magnetically activated Polymers

I knew a grad student whose research was on magnetically active fiber-reinforced composites. This was designed more as a health monitoring function for composite structures, but it might be something along the lines of what you're looking for.
