Hello,
I'm looking at getting a book to help with estimating time for ditching, welding, etc. involved with natural gas pipeline work.
Do you guys have any favorite books?
I was looking at a book by John S. Page called "Estimator's Piping Man-Hour Manual" Any experience with this book?
Most of my projects are small replacements and reroutes not long cross country jobs.
Thanks
Pat

RE: Hello, I'm looking at getting a
I have been told by many estimators that the Page manual you list is pretty accurate.
Another source is Richardson's estimating manual which cost in the neighborhood of $500 plus for the complete set and is very conservative. However, this manual is aimed at facility construction.

Have you used his Pipeline Estimators manual? I'm just wondering if it is geared toward long cross country projects.
