Timer mechanism for feeder
Timer mechanism for feeder
(OP)
I have a device I am trying to operate with a minimal amount of timers. The device has 2 motors on it and a water inlet valve. Both motors draw less than 1 amp. We need for all three items to be powered up at the same time. At the end of the run time when the motors stop we need for the water inlet valve to remain open and run for an additional
5 seconds. We need off times of 1 hour, 2 hours, 3 hours of 4 hours. We need adjustable run times from 1 second to 180 seconds. It would be best if we had the whole timing device in a panel with a digital read out.

How urgent is it?: How many pieces? Motor's voltage, AC/DC?
Do you have any power supply -- 12V battery, 5V supply for other electronics, 110V ac , etc ?
Adjustment can be potenciometer or switch ( DIP svitch or rotary decimal or hexadecimal) What kind of resolution
do you want ?
Did you select the valve ? send its data or type# and WEB site from where I can download it.
If you use it to fill a container, I suggest adding a level switch.

This wouldn't happen to be a very large water softener, would it ??
There are digital "Countdown" (or up) panel meters that can be had in "kit form" you can set the count resolution via dip switches, there is also "underflow" & "overflow" outputs on these counters, so you could "stack" them as well as congruent them.
setup something like this ?
3 countdowns, one for each device, another countdown, to control the first 3.
The output of these kits can simply drive relays (mec or elec).
Is this what you are looking for ?
