PSV Fire Case Scenarios
PSV Fire Case Scenarios
(OP)
Does anyone know of a document (e.g., article, book, reference) that explicitly addresses the method of assessing the different fire cases for safety relief valves? This document needs to have a rationale or set of criteria that helps the process engineer determine which scenario(s) are applicable to his/her PSV situation. I'm aware of API 520, API 521, and API 2000. I could be mistaken, but I don't recall any part in them that deals specifically with describing different fire case scenarios that can assist in setting the correct scenarios for a particular situation.
