V5 Electrical Wire Harness Installation 2?

Is anyone using this suite of modules? If so, what resource did you use to get "up to speed"?

Thanks in advance-Laura

RE: V5 Electrical Wire Harness Installation 2?

We are using the Electrical Tools of CATIA V5.  Specifically we use ELB - Electrical Library, EHI - Electrical Harness Installation, EWR - Electrical Wire Routing, and Electrical Harness Flattening.  As I am uncertain of your question, can you be more specific?

Am a contractor brought into electrical group. Group needs the tools you mentioned. Corporate says these tools are not ready for prime time. Was curious if anyone was using them successfully.

RE: V5 Electrical Wire Harness Installation 2?

Hi Timothy.
Have you evaluated EFD. There seems to be some missing functionality i.e defining an internal splice or do you have any suggestion on how I can define it.
Do you have any experience of external programs (i.e Zuken, Mentor) and how good is EFD in comparison?
I appreciate any comments.
Thanx
Juha
