RealView properties and custom material setup

(OP)
I've developed a list of custom optical materials and I would like to use RealView to give the materials a realistic look while editing; I'd like them to reflect the ambient light as the "glass" material option in the default SW list does (Other non-metals -> glass).  By editing the SW glass material, I see that "glass" is selected from the RealView drop down menu, so I assumed I would simply have to do the same in my custom matieral.  However, it actually looks like the generic "glass fibers" in the SW list.  And for some reason, upon re-editing the material "glass fiber" is selected in the RealView drop down list.  What's going on?

RE: RealView properties and custom material setup

1) Have you queried this with your VAR or SW?

2) What SP are you using?
