Large displacement analysis

Large displacement analysis

Large displacement analysis

(OP)
How can you make a contact between 2 parts if you know that they will touch but are almost perpendicular?

I'll explain my self : I have a part with a V shape and the 2 legs of the V bows to the outside.  I have a load on a plate on top of the V, that touch the top of the 2 legs. The more pressure is applied, the more the V bows and the more the inside of the legs touch the plate (the load).

The problem that I have, is that I'm unable to simulate the inside of the legs touching the plate.

If I have explain myself correcly you will understand that the more the pressure is applied, the more the inside of the legs touch the plate so the load is applied on a greater surface.

Could someone help me?

RE: Large displacement analysis

Not sure I understand the situation, but surely the contact region you are using allows you to simulate the inside of the legs touching the plate. Note however I don't think you can do large displacement and contact analysis together.
