Building maintenance

(OP)
Dear,
I’m a structural engineer, currently I’m working on a steel fabricator were the shop building equipped with crane till 50 kips capacity.
My question: Is there code or standard for maintenance building that equipped with crane?
If no how must I check periodically, becouse some of the connection are using bolt type.
Regard,
Ynn2005@hotmail.com

RE: Building maintenance

Crane Manufacturers Association of America has guide lines which are accepted by the industry. OSHA also has strict guide lines for the wire rope. Some agencies also require annual testing and proof loading the crane up to 125% of its capacity plus operation testing of brakes and limit switches.

Good luck
