We're just getting started with SolidWorks and as I configure Part, Drawing and Assembly Templates I want to printout the values I've set, such as spin increments, fonts type and size for annotations, etc.

Is there a method or add on I can use to do this?

RE: Template Settings

Not that I know of.

You could do a "screen capture" of the various dialogue boxes & print it though.

That's what I'm wondering, seem rather tedious.  It's always nice to have these settings documented just in case.  Also, it would seem that after I've set all this info for a part template I could some how copy it to a drawing template.  Is this possible?

Maybe I should ask the question a little differently.  Is there a way to fill in forms in SolidWorks other than inserting an Excel spreadsheet?

RE: Template Settings

As no one else has responded, I suggest you put this in as an Ehancement Request to SW.

RE: Template Settings

If your making an instruction booklet for your fellow users to use, your going to have to take the long road here. I did this once many moons ago and got tired of doing it because I couldn't keep up if all the new changes in the Tools\Options menus. Plus this wasn't my only job. I had many ECO's to do and I was only doing it to try and Standardize our company while using SW. I did with screen captures and crops.

As for the spin increments you can just type that information in and use screen captures pointing out what goes where in the tools\options menus.

RE: Template Settings

Is this what you want?

Just grab the 'Copy Drawing Options.'  (It also works with part options, assembly options, and system options.)

This is actually an Excel Spreadsheet that uses an Excel macro to copy, store, and set the options in SWX documents (also does SWX system options).

RE: Template Settings

I've just did screen shots and threw them into a Powerpoint presentation to save them as one file.  It didn't take too long.
