Remembering GusD

Remembering GusD

Remembering GusD

(OP)
It is with great sadness that I pass on the information that Gus D'Almeida (our GusD) of Fort Mac Canada has passed away.

He was a great contributor here and also one of the nicest guys around.

He will be missed.

RE: Remembering GusD

Sorry to hear it. It was a pleasure to read his informative eng tips in his postings.

RE: Remembering GusD

This is indeed a sad day for his family and us.  Wish I could have met him personally.  I have benefited much from his knowledge.

RE: Remembering GusD

I am so sorry to hear about the passing away of Gus. Though we had never met, he had taken pains to clear many of my doubts by various e-mails and I surely will miss his wisdom.

May God be with his family in this testing moment.

RE: Remembering GusD

GusD was one of these guys that really knew what he was talking about. Whenever he answered a question, there was personal first-hand experience behind the facts he delivered. I liked that. And I will surely miss GusD.

I found this qoute from a recent posting by GusD: "If I didn't help this time,I'll try harder next time".

I am truly sorry that there will not be any next time.

RE: Remembering GusD

My sincere sympathy to his family, my thoughts are with them.

We will truly miss his advice and answers.

I'm sorry I never met him too.  He came across as a salt-of-the-earth type, kind, no airs or graces.

RE: Remembering GusD

Life is very fragile.  These and other events make you reflect on what is truly important.

Give your kids a hug for Gus.

RE: Remembering GusD

I am very sorry to hear that. Though I am not a contributor in electrical forums, I keenly observe all the posts and somehow I missed this thread. Some of GusD's posts really fascinated and helped me with a clear understanding of the aspects which are foreign to me.

I strongly feel he will delight the heavens as well.
