(OP)
Does anyone have experience with the use of the Empirical Method of Deck Slab Design for bridges configured with Main Girders, Floor Beams and Sub-girders?  I have a 280' span bridge, with 120" deep Main Plate Girders at 20' spacings, and an intermediate W24 sub-girder between each, at 10' spacing.  The W24 spans 28' between Floor Beams.  Can I use the empirical method to design the slab at the 10' spacing?
