hi all, i just have two simple questions
could someone be so kind as to  explain why we use IPB's instead of high voltage cables in power plants? what are the advantages

2) with IPB's the current is carried on the inside conductor, will the same current be induced on the outer conductor?

In large generating stations, very high current flows between generator and GSU that could not be covered by cables. That is, cables might be required numerous quantities per phase to allow carrying very high current.
