Electrical Engineering Standards
Electrical Engineering Standards
(OP)
Greetings,
I need to know if there is one accepted, industrial standard for compiling and publishing electrical specifications. This would include format, contents, what attachments (diagrams, illustrations, catalog cut sheets, etc,) are acceptable to include, etc. The vast majority of electrical specifications that I deal with are for commercial and institutional buildings.
Thank you.

RE: Electrical Engineering Standards
One common format that is used is the Constructions Specifications Institute (CSI) format. It provides a fairly well defined structure and format for construction specifications, but all specs are customized for a specific application. If you check the Army Corps of Engineers or Naval Facilities Engineering Command websites, you might be able to reference some standard specifications developed for military installations.
