Pipeplus installation

(OP)
Have an old (circa 1997) Version of Algor PipePlus that is paid for.  Their installation manual leaves a lot to be desired with regards to setting system environment settings.  We can not get it to run on a NT 4.0 machine.

Anybody got the old Windows (for Win95 and WinNT) version of PipePlus running (obviously trying to avoid the $$$ to upgrade as we don't do this type of analysis that often).

RE: Pipeplus installation

I recommend you abandon the idea of using the old version of any pipe stress program unless you don't need to perform code compliance calculations, or your cost of engineering time is low enough to perform handcalculations to bring the output of the old software in line with the currently valid piping code. When I was in a similar situation a while ago, I bought a limited run version of CAESAR II (AUTOPIPE offers the same) to keep costs down. Also, I did not have to worry about old, known software bugs affecting my professional liability.

Agreed, trying to get it to run on Win2000 is not worth it.  Can anyone recommend any other packages than Algor or CAESAR?  Thank!
