revision cloud

(OP)
Hello,

I like to compare two revisions of drawings and cloud the changes. Is it possible to make these revision clouds under Autocad fully automatically, by means of letting the computer compare the revisons.

Regards,

thijsie

RE: revision cloud

There are many situations in which you may want to see what your drawing looks like with another drawing overlaid on it. I don't know if this is what you are looking for?  Overlaying the current drawing with an external reference file allow you to temporarily view the xref without attaching it.  This is accomplished by activating the Overlay option button in the External Refernce dialog box after selection an xref. Hope this helps - John.

RE: revision cloud

Hi thijsie,

maybe You can use "Comparedwg" by http://www.furix.com/

Please reply, if it will work.

RE: revision cloud

Acrobat 5.0 (Not the free version unfortunately) can automatically compare two revisions of documents and cloud/highlight the changes. You create PDF documents of the drawings, and then use the compare function.
