I am looking for a standard about measuring oil production by dipping the tanks, preferably API. Can anyone help me?

Don't have access to API Manual of Petroleum Measurement Standards (working for the U.S. Army in Bosnia), but understand Chapter 2 covers Tank Calibration.  Need to know the level of accuracy required for making a strapping chart for a fuel tanker truck.
