I observed mostly exhaust fans in battery rooms. Is it acceptable pressurising fans too. Any standards?

RE: I observed mostly exhaust fans in

I would think not. The function of the exhaust fan is to remove any hydrogen released by the batteries, pressurization fans are intended to keep the outside dirt out!

RE: I observed mostly exhaust fans in

IEEE says keep H2 < 2% by volume.

RE: I observed mostly exhaust fans in

Check with the battery manufactures for the amount of venting required for these batteries. Hydrogen gas released by the batteries will blow up battery rooms if not properly vented. All batteies vent gas even ventless batteries so be careful. Also,Check the warning labels about venting requirements that come with the batteries.
