There doesnt seem to be an icon in 2004 for smart mates.  I found them alot faster then using the conventional mate icon.  Anyone know anything about this?

They have moved the icon to a different toolbar in 2004.  You don't really need the icon anymore however.  When you would like to smartmate componants hold down the alt key.  Select the entity you would like to mate. Hold the ALT key and drag the componant over the entity you would like to mate it to.  The cursor will change to show the smart mate applied.  Drop the item and the mate is applied.
