Vibration performance of coventional lock washers

Vibration performance of coventional lock washers

Vibration performance of coventional lock washers

(OP)
Does anyone out there have test data showing the vibration performance of bolted joints with conventional (toothed e.g MS35333-X and helical-split e.g MS35338-X) lock washers as compared to the same joints without lockwashers?  I'm trying to make a case for elimininating the lock washers but can't seem to get my hands on any hard facts;  all I have to go on is educated opinions...

Thanks!

RE: Vibration performance of coventional lock washers

I have no data, but we always used the toothed washers when viberation was a concern.

Good luck.
