Does anyone know how to model wires in SW2004.
The cables has to look bent as it will be looking
physically.

I thought the Routing add-in was going to take this up eventually, but I'm not sure about that. It's only hear say, so don't quote me on that.

When using 3Dsketch - push the tab key to control the direction - X,Y - X,Z - Y,Z - Etc... You can also just drop those lines Horzontal, Vertical or in space. You can also use Splines in 3Dsketch as well.

RE: Modeling cables
The spline is an excellent idea, please note that starting in SolidWorks 2004 you can "fit a spline" between 2 or more lines. This is very helpful in modelling cable connections.

SW tells me that the new tube routing functions will be supporting cables very soon if not already (including connectivity).
