I am working on a project  an I am having a hard time getting or finding information on a D series thread.  it is used by the mining industries, an DoD
Any idea on where I can go or look to obtain  a sketch of the Thread?

RE: Need Help

The D specification may be the European callout for thread size if this is a metric thread. I would recommend you contact the person or company which supplied the drawing and ask which specification the thread callout is based on. This may be a DIN standard which is available from sites on the Internet.

RE: Need Help

Is this the rounded thread used on Rock Bolts and such?

These have a sine wave when looked at in profile, and the callout is threads per inch.

There is a specification ASTM F-432 and CSA-M43090 for these bolts.

Yes these are for rockbits
