Capacitive Sensor

Capacitive Sensor

(OP)
How the capacitive sensor works? Is the capacitve sensor suitable for distance measurment?

RE: Capacitive Sensor

Comment:
The capacitive sensor depends on its configuration. It may sense a dielectricum between two plates, distance between two plates, area between two plates, etc.
However, the sensor itself does not necessarily have to consist of two plates. The second plate may be some other object to which the capacitive sensor is electrically and measurement tied.

RE: Capacitive Sensor

Good answer jbartos (star).
