good welding school

(OP)
very interested in going to a welding school and have done very little welding as of now.  I am eighteen years old and have only done small jobs around my dads mill.  What is a good school to go to and where to start?

RE: good welding school

Where do you live?  Many community college offer welding programs along with vo-tech schools/adult eduation programs.  Check the AWS website www.aws.org Repost your question on their BBS in the education and training forum.

If you want a 4 year engineering degree in welding then there is OHIO STATE UNIVERSITY.

Look at Lincoln Electric's and ESAB's website
www.lincolnelectric.com and www.esab.com , respectfully.
These site have good info and list some schools that they have partnered with.

Check out Hobart's and Miller's site.
