Acrylic Pressure Vessel - Cast or Extruded?

Acrylic Pressure Vessel - Cast or Extruded?

Acrylic Pressure Vessel - Cast or Extruded?

(OP)
I'm designing a 10" OD, 20" long vessel that will see a repetitive internal vacuum load of up to 19 inHg.  I've already decided on Acrylic but is cast or extruded acrylic the preferred material in this instance?

RE: Acrylic Pressure Vessel - Cast or Extruded?

True cast acrylic has significantly better mechanical properties than extruded material and somewhat better than the so called cast material that is actually reaction extruded.
