P&H Cranes 50-ton auxiliary crane

P&H Cranes 50-ton auxiliary crane

(OP)
We have a 50-ton P&H crane with a spring set, electrically released motor brake and a magnetorque load brake.
Will the magnetorque brake act as a holding brake below 50% of the crane capacity and as a control brake above 50%.
Most of our lifts are in the 15-20-ton range.
We are doing a failure analysis, and we need two brakes below 25 tons?
Thanks

RE: P&H Cranes 50-ton auxiliary crane

Why don't you give P&H a call.  1-800-933-3001 is the number for Morris Material Handling's (P&H Cranes) ProCare service number  They should be able to help.

RE: P&H Cranes 50-ton auxiliary crane

Can anyone tell me what the duty cycle for a P&H Magnetorque 1412 eddy current brake is and at what voltage. Also if someone has any other information I sure could use it.

Thanks
