When using V5 on a PC, I load a .model into a CATProduct, using right-click>>Components>>Existing component (see step1.jpg
[img http://www27.brinkster.com/sacforumpics/images/step1.jpg]

Then I choose right-click on item>>myModel object >> Edit (see step2.jpg)
[img http://www27.brinkster.com/sacforumpics/images/step2.jpg]

Then the item is expandable to show all of its component elements
(see step3.jpg)

Problem is, when I save &close the CATProduct, and reopen it, the expanded structure is gone and I have to redo the work I just did.

Any ideas/information would be greatly appreciated.  Thanks,
Brian

Check your options to see if cache is turned off.
Also check your V4-V5 interoperability settings.

RE: When using V5 on a PC, I load a .mo

Paste it into a New Part instead of Product. Then save it as a .catpart Should be fine then.
