Best way to cut a 50mm whole?

Best way to cut a 50mm whole?

(OP)
Hi,

Relatively new to Pro/e Manufacturing and I'm wondering what is the best way to cut out a 50mm whole.  I tried to drill it out but I would like to use a 13mm end mill because I don't have a 50mm drill bit.  Can anyone give me some pointers or places to look in the help to remove this material?

Thanks in advance,

Craig

RE: Best way to cut a 50mm whole?

Craig,

There are several ways this hole can be cut. The easiest would be to create a trajectory milling seq. and select the edge of the hole as the traj. If the hole has not been predrilled and is still a solid piece then you should try a volume milling seq. and use the edge of the hole to create a mill window then set your parameters accordingly
i.e. stepover and depth of cut for each pass. this should get you started.
