Can I Export a 3D, DWG File with SW?

Can I Export a 3D, DWG File with SW?

(OP)
I was wondering if any one could help me with this. We use to do our 3D assembly models in Mec Desktop and we could then save the 3D model as a wire frame *.dwg file which could be viewed with AutoCAD. Our Customer liked the 3D CAD drawing because they could insert them into their system designs. Can I offer the same thing with a 3D SolidWorks assembly Model?? Either a solid of wire frame .DWG File?
Thanks

RE: Can I Export a 3D, DWG File with SW?

SolidWorks can't export a 3D .DWG file, but it can Save AS a 3D .IGES, .STEP, .STL or .ACIS file (if you need all the 3D geometry).

If you are just looking for a 2D file, then you could create a SolidWorks drawing, create an isometric view of your model, and Save As a .DXF for use.  Just remember to click the Hidden Lines Removed icon before saving.
