Heavy duty API deployment question

Heavy duty API deployment question

Heavy duty API deployment question

(OP)
I have an Addin that I wish to distribute.  Does anyone have any information about scripting to get the addin to automatically install in SW (without the drag-drop or ope w/ SW manually by user)?

Also, any info on manipulating the registry info so that the addin name in the SW addin list isn't just the program name would be of great help.

TIA,

Thanks, macPT

Actually, I'm past that stuff.  I have addins written and compiled as DLL.  I'm trying to iron out a more seamless installation than telling users, "Place the file in directory X and then open with SolidWorks."

It's more of a VB deployment question than a SW question, actually.

I'll refer this to our guru - I think he does this with our custom toolset.  Could be after the holiday - I think he is gone for the duration.
