saving as autocad 14 format in 2004

(OP)
how do i save down to autocad 14 from 2004?

RE: saving as autocad 14 format in 2004

I believe that you only need to use "SAVEAS". Autocad will give you a dialog box that you can use to navigate to the appropriate directory. At the bottom of this dialog box is a flyout bar that will give you a few options on the type of file to save it as.

Hope this helps,
Paul

the saveas flyout doesn't offer an autocad 14 file format....

RE: saving as autocad 14 format in 2004

I DON'T THINK AUTOCAD 2004 WILL SAVE AS 14. I COULD BE WRONG. YOU CAN ALSO SET THIS UNDER TOOLS THEN OPTIONS THEN THE OPEN AND SAVE TAB.

RE: saving as autocad 14 format in 2004

R2004 will not save as R14.
You need an earlier version of AutoCAD for that.

Save as R14 is removed. You have to save to R12 DXF instead.

Save to AutoCAD 2000i and get someone who has 2000i to save it to R14.
