Orthotropic plate deck design

(OP)
Good morning:  I'm looking for recent publications on
orthotropic steel plate deck design.  Any ideas?

RE: Orthotropic plate deck design

I haven't seen the use of orthotropic decks in a long time.  As such I don't recall any recent works concerning that topic.

There were several texts published on orthotropic deck that were and probably remain the staple of the industry.  To this end I suggest that you look into the American Institute of Steel Construction (AISC) or Lincoln Welding.

Another source (database) for recent topics would be two ASCE journal which may be searched on line at www.asce.org. ; Those titles are the Strutural Engineering Journal and the Bridge Engineering Journal.

RE: Orthotropic plate deck design

Yes, Dik, that is a bargin book.  And its available on ebay right now (Item #1439830439) or just enter "bridge engineering" for search.  The book is presently selling for $26.00 (1968 edition).

Or you can try at Powell's Books, they have great out-of-date technical books for extremely low prices.  Try them at www.powells.com
