Japenese spec. SUS400P

Japenese spec. SUS400P

Japenese spec. SUS400P

(OP)
Can I get the material information for SUS400P, Japenese spec - chemistry and mechenical property?
And what would be ASTM or ANSI equivalent for it?
Thanks.

RE: Japenese spec. SUS400P

Are you sure that the designation is SUS400P?  The JIS designation system for stainless steels places SUS in front of the typical Type designation used in the US, e.g., Type 304 stainless steel is SUS 304.  There is no Type 400 stainless steel, nor SUS400P.

RE: Japenese spec. SUS400P

I suspect that SUS400 merely means a 400 series stainless steel.  It appears in the English translation on Chinese, Japanese, Korean & Taiwan sites:

Mention of SUS400 stainless steel used as a ‘poll' in a bearing assembly, with SUS440C as the ball material:  http://www.origin-shoji.co.jp/2or.BLDbearing.htm &...;.

A Chinese “company mainly handling with series of stainless steel materials type SUS300 & SUS400 which are suitable for industry of Petroleum, Chemistry, Architecture, Medicine, Food, Machinery etc.”
http://107559.pub.diysite.com/sc.deliver/main/0-4/4/0-m...

This Taiwan site mentions both SUS300 series & SUS400 series.  http://wwweng.dgoc.gov.tw/catolog/7218.htm
Similar indication on a Korean site: http://www.heatss.co.kr/sub3.htm

Didn’t find a SUS400P.
