Electrical rotating device for turning 10kg box 180 degrees

(OP)
Elaborating from previous posting.

I'm working on a project whereby I have to rotate a rectangular shaped box (weighing about 10kg) 180 degrees on one plane - backwards and forwards. This would have to be electrically powered and operate at a slow and controlled pace. The dimensions of this box are: 600mm x 200mm x 200mm. The weight of the box is evenly distributed at around 10kg. The box will rotate on the 600mm x 200mm side in the middle and should rotate at a rate no faster than 10 seconds per revolution. i.e - very slow and controlled. The rotation will also have to stop in a controlled way.

Does anyone know of a suitable rotating mechanism that can be controlled with a software program.

Thanks, Andy
