Getting This FATAL ERROR when working on a drawing

Getting This FATAL ERROR when working on a drawing

Getting This FATAL ERROR when working on a drawing

(OP)
I'm not sure if anyone can help, but I just started getting
this message while working on autocad 2d drawings.

FATAL ERROR: Unhandled c0000006h Exception at 88c980h

then I get booted out of the program.  When I go to open
autocad again and work on the same drawing it happens right
away when I try and preform any function.

I'm thinking of reinstalling the program to see what happens.  Otherwise I'm pretty much lost.

Oh, the same file works fine on a co-workers computer when
he opens autocad...

Cheers,
Mark.

RE: Getting This FATAL ERROR when working on a drawing

Try to "recover" the drawing, or WBlock it right away.  You may have a RAM chip going bad or a memory overlap problem.  Have you installed any software recently?  Is it just that drawing?  Try one smaller and one larger.

RE: Getting This FATAL ERROR when working on a drawing

If you can open the drawing start with purge......I had the same problem and purge worked for me. Try that before you reinstall the program.

WHAT VERSION OF AUTOCAD ARE YOU USING? I HAVE HAD SOME PROBLEMS OPENING 14 FILES IN AUTOCAD 2000
