finding a 50Ohm 13.56MHz antenna for RFID reader

finding a 50Ohm 13.56MHz antenna for RFID reader

finding a 50Ohm 13.56MHz antenna for RFID reader

(OP)
I am trying to build an RF-ID reader into an existing demo kit. Trouble is, the antenna supplied (connected via 50Ohm co-ax cable) with the reader is too big to squeeze inside the demo-kit case.
I need to find a 50Ohm 13.56MHz pcb-antenna that is max 5cm x 10cm or preferably is flexible so it can be squeezed in. Any ideas where I can get one, or how I might improvise. I am not an expert in this field - we are a software company primarily!

RE: finding a 50Ohm 13.56MHz antenna for RFID reader

Provide an Internet link to the demo kit so that we can determine details.  Does it transmit?  How much power?  Is self interference going to be an issue?

The Demo kit is a Personal Shopping Assistant (PSA) - see http://www.multichannelretail.com/download/PSA_RFID_Log... for a picture. This picture has a RFID reader in the side - now we need a reader-antenna to be on the top - ie just under the outer skin of the case to the side of the screen. Output power from the reader is 200mW. I don't know if self-interference is an issue. We just need a 50Ohm 13.56MHz antenna to fit. Any ideas?

I think a ferrit antenna would be the simplest solution
tuned to the output frequency and designed to be 50 Ohm

Thanks for your inputs. I have resolved this problem - I found a supplier (http://www.insidecontactless.com) who supplied me with a small 50Ohm PCB antenna which works very well.
