Nonlinear statics on a previously deformed model
Nonlinear statics on a previously deformed model
(OP)
Hello,
Is it possible to save a deformed model from a nonlinear statics analysis so that subsequent analysis can be performed on it with different loading? Failing this, is there a way to schedule loading so that one set is applied after another? I understand there is the 'Restart' feature (which I don't fully comprehend yet), but it seens to restart on the undeformed model.
Thank you for your help.
Peter.

RE: Nonlinear statics on a previously deformed model
You can define dynamic loading(eg. change vs time) in non-linear analisys. If there is change in geometry that would require the stiffness matrix to be reformed in particular load step, you can activate the 'stress stiffneing' option.
If not mistaken, The restart function also allow you to selct a different boundary condition/load set to restart with. Checj for more in the help manual. Hoep this help.
