Have you tried inserting the dimensions using "Insert --> Model items..."?

RE: DRAWINGS- DIMS DON'T COME FROM MODEL

I've noticed this issue coming up more frequently lately.  I haven't been able to replicate the problem, though (all works fine by me).

Could you provide some details about your environment, OS, hardware, graphics card, processor, etc.

RE: DRAWINGS- DIMS DON'T COME FROM MODEL

Have you tried this?:
Go to Tools, Options, Document properties, detailing.
Under 'Auto Insert on view creation' select 'Dimensions marked for drawing.

If this works save it in your drawing template file.

Roller1

RE: DRAWINGS- DIMS DON'T COME FROM MODEL

Make sure your Dims in your part have "marked for drawing" checked. THen do a Insert\Model Items\Dimensions\Marked for drawing.

Otherwise Roller1 is correct for auto insert of Dims. but you still have to have the dims in your part "marked for drawing" checked.
