Delete element

(OP)
How do you delete an element if it is not recognized when you click on it or put a fence around it?  The response message is "Element not found", but it does show on the screen and it does plot.

RE: Delete element

It could be on a reference file, or locked. If not, you maybe could use the key-ins somehow to delete it.

RE: Delete element

Place a fence around what you want to keep. Key in FENCE FILE. You will be prompted to "save fence contents as". A crude work around, but it works most of the time for this problem.

RE: Delete element

There are a few possible solutions for this problem.

Microstation V8
---------------
1.
If you are using Microstation V8 it can be that your in your levelmanager the level has been locked. Then you just click on the key-symbol and the level will be unlocked. Watch out!!! This unlocking is for all the elements that are drawn on that level. This system is new inMicrostation V8 and is a tool for the compatibility for AutoCad.

Microstation J
--------------
2.
When you ask the properties (information button) off the particular element it can be that the element is locked. Change this to unlock. This is almost the same system as number 1 but this change of property is only for the selected element.
3.
It can be that the element is in a reference and the locate-tool off that reference is not on.
