Circular Pattern Animation - Mate problem

Circular Pattern Animation - Mate problem

Circular Pattern Animation - Mate problem

(OP)
I seem to be having difficulty animating propeller blades in an assembly using SW2004. I have created my blade/shaft and center housing then used Circular-Array to copy them 4times 360deg.
Now when i bring this propeller assembly into the machine assembly dwg and animate it (or manually move the propeller around), the original blade/shaft that i first created turns around, but the other 4 blade/shafts that i copied stay put. I would have thought that the Component-Feature copies all mates.

Any suggestions?

RE: Circular Pattern Animation - Mate problem

I have found on my pc (SW2003) that when I circular-array, the arrayed geometry needs to be re-dimensioned off the geometry it came from in order for them to revolve together.

RE: Circular Pattern Animation - Mate problem

Do you really mean an Assembly DRAWING or an Assembly MODEL?  Big difference.
