Pressure rating of cast iron valves

Pressure rating of cast iron valves

Pressure rating of cast iron valves

(OP)
Dear all,

I have a question that perhaps any of you have faced before. Where can I find the pressure-temperature relationship for a 150# ductile iron body butterfly valve? (material A-536). Are there for cast iron bodies tables similar to those included for steel bodies in ANSI B16.34?

Thank you verymuch for any help.

RE: Pressure rating of cast iron valves

These are some common standards:

Ductile iron flanged valves - ASME B16.42
Cast Iron flanged gate valves - ASME B16.1 & MSS-SP-70
Wafer, Lug, Flanged Buterfly valves - API 609

Butterfly valves don't always follow the standards. Suggest you check with the manufacturer as recommended by "unclesyd".
