File Size

(OP)
Upon completion of an assembly I will do a find references and save it to a new folder so that other people on different computers will be able to look at it with no problem.  That works fine.  My problem is that some of the files created from the toolbox are bigger than they need to be.  For example I may use 3 or 4 configurations of a socket head cap screw yet I have numerous unused configurations listed.  A file that should be a meg is 25 megs.  After deleting the configurations not being used the file still remains the same size. Yes, I have tried the unfrage.exe file that gets rid of wasted space created by windows with no luck.  Any ideas?

RE: File Size

if u r using assmembly,
try to use lightweight parts concepts.for this u can individually select that particular part and right click - set to lightweight
. if u want to load all parts in assembly automatically as lightweight parts, follow this.
tools-options-performance-tick automatically load lightweight parts.
and
if u want to change those parts into original condition, select those components right click mouse select set to resolved

RE: File Size

One thing SW has changed is that they have put materials in the SW file ie FEA, also Realview has added to the size. It would be curious to see what else is being saved in the part files that used to be left out.
