SCRIPT LANGUAGE IN STAAD

(OP)
hello evryone.

i am using this software at my college.
CAN ANYBODY HELP ME IN CONTROLING OUTPUT USING SCRIPT LANGUAGE.
NOBODY IN OUR COLLEGE KNOW ABOUT IT.
IS THERE POSSIBLE TO DEFINE CIRCULAR SLAB IN STAAD.

RE: SCRIPT LANGUAGE IN STAAD

It's been a few years since I've used STAAD, but if I remember correctly, STAAD does not have any curved elements (beam or plates/shells).  You will have to model your curves as multiple "straight" elements.  I will see if I have any information on the Script language.  I recall that Research Engineers used to distribute their documentation in pdf format of their demo CD's, so there is a chance that I might have it.  I will let you know.  You might want to consider posting you message in the "Research Engineer: STAAD products" folder on this site.

RE: SCRIPT LANGUAGE IN STAAD

Do you have access to a user's manual?  I believe they call their script language STAPLE. If you have a manual, look that up.  I've used it a little bit, it's pretty easy.  Mainly it allows you to output information to a file that is easy to read with your own program or import into a spreadsheet in order to do whatever you want to do to the data there.
