API 5L vs ASTM A106 Gr.B

(OP)
Anybody have any views on the advantages/disadvantages of using API 5L pipe over ASTM A106 Gr.B ? Our plant is over in europe, but was originally an american owned plant and therefore designed using american std./guidelines etc. Pipe at our plant has always been API 5L but it appears that it is becoming more difficult to obtain and recently we have started to purchase A106 Gr.B. All our wall thickness calculations are however based on API 5L. Any comments would be welcome.

Your wall thickness calculation for both specifications should be the same.
