Live load on walkway in elevated conveyor galery

(OP)
Gents,

Please, could you suggest me some specific Standard or publications where I can find some recomendation about live load to be considered on walkway of  elevated conveyor galleries design, used in minerals material handling projects. I have doubt about to use of live load recipe like 200 kg/m2 recomended from UBC or onothers standards use in buildings.
I would appreciate your information

best regards.

RE: Live load on walkway in elevated conveyor galery

ts54,

Going by ASCE 7-98, Minimum Design Loads for Buildings and Other Structures, table 4-1, the correct live load is 2.87 kN/m2 (287kg/m2).

RE: Live load on walkway in elevated conveyor galery

In Australian practice we typically use the following conveyor walkway loads:
- 2.5kPa uniform load, or
- 2kN moveable concentrated load, or
- material spillage load (as calculated)
